Our vision     

Coastal Care Solutions was created by two Blackpool residents who have seen the issues the Fylde coast faces in terms of poverty, substance misuse, child neglect and crime. Those most effected and vulnerable to this are the looked after children and care leavers. We have over 10 years’ experience in the residential childcare and property businesses as well as being active members in the community. Our vision is to support the local authority, police, health services and supporting agencies to reduce the impact of these areas on young people and care leavers. We have set ourselves 3 main objectives as an organisation which we are committed to achieve. These objectives are to:

Improve- services for care leavers to help improve the standard of accommodation and support available to care leavers in Blackpool, the Fylde coast and its surrounding areas. This is a hugely under funded area of children’s social care which leads to devastating outcomes for care leavers as they become adults. We aim to improve not only the living standards of these individuals but also provide them with the tools to succeed within the community. Our overall goal for any young person is for them to be an active citizen within the community and contribute towards their local area. 

Prevent – Families from being broken by offering support to families in the community. We understand that the statistics for positive outcomes for young people in the care system are hard to achieve. We want to offer targeted support to families and give them the tools and support to improve as family units and overcome challenges. 

Integrate – Our service users into the community as they leave the care system and become fully independent. We aim to do this by giving them employment opportunities, providing them with affordable but desirable housing and finding them education and training in a variety of chosen careers. We have built associations with local businesses and community members to make this possible and support our service users to become fully independent whilst having the safety net support gradually reduced.

If we can implement our services to achieve our objectives we feel we can make a real and lasting impact in the Fylde Coast. Are young people are the future of our communities and if we do not invest in them not only with time and money but belief and encouragement things will not improve. That’s why with the help of Social services, providers of quality services and of course the local business owners we believe in achieving our vision.
